Skegness
is a seaside resort in Lincolnshire, on England's north-east coast. The Great Northern Railway built a line to Skegness in the late 19th century, and in 1908 produced the now famous "Jolly Fisherman" poster with the slogan "Skegness is so Bracing". It is still a popular resort today, and is very bracing when the wind blows off the north sea ! Nevertheless it has a fine, sandy beach and is a very pleasant spot. The postcard dates from about 1910.
